Mike McEachern, VP Finance and CFO

Mike McEachern, vice president of finance and administration, is responsible for managing and leading the companies accounting, finance and human resource operations. In addition, Mike is responsible for maintaining the company's relationships with its investors, outside counsel and financing institutions. Mike has been instrumental in securing venture capital investment from top-tier firms, for a total of $23 million in private investment in the company to date.

Mike brings more than 20 years of accounting and finance experience working with a range of businesses from start-up entities to publicly traded companies. He joined Brainshark from Elcom International, Inc. where as vice president and treasurer, he was responsible for the Financial Reporting and Analysis group, including the company's SEC reporting and tax areas. Mike also served as the vice president of finance for its software subsidiary Elcom.com, where he led the finance function supporting the company's Internet storefront, as well as the software group that developed the company's web-hosted, automated, procurement solution.

Prior to Elcom, Mike was group treasurer for Howden Group America, a $200 million subsidiary of Howden Group, plc. He has also served as manager of financial reporting for Trend-lines, Inc., a specialty retailer, where he was member of the finance team that successfully raised over $50 million in IPO and secondary funding in 1994 and 1995.

Mike earned his MBA from Babson College and a B.S. in Accounting from Marquette University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts.
