Brainshark Expands Channel Sales Team

Andy Zimmerman Brings SaaS Sales and Business Development Experience to Leading On-Demand Business Communications Provider

WALTHAM, MA - May 31, 2007

Brainshark, Inc., the leader in on-demand business communications solutions, today announced the addition of SaaS veteran Andy Zimmerman to lead its channel initiatives. In his role as Vice President of Business Development, Zimmerman is responsible for developing and managing strategic partnerships and driving channel sales for Brainshark as well as managing sales of Brainshark's marketing services offerings and developing new markets for Brainshark solutions.

Prior to joining Brainshark, Zimmerman was senior vice president of sales and marketing at Theikos, a leading CRM consulting and software-as-a-service solution provider, where he was instrumental in driving the company's rapid growth, building its Salesforce.com services business, and launching its AppFactor On-Demand Solutions division.

During his career, Zimmerman also served as director of sales operations at Virtusa Corp., an application development outsourcing firm, and as director of business development at edocs, the leading self-service and e-billing software company acquired by Siebel Systems in 2004. He also managed strategic alliances at telco billing software provider Kenan Systems prior to its $1.5 billion acquisition by Lucent in 1999, and was a certified IT management consultant with IBM Global Services. Zimmerman earned his BA from Brown University and MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
